The three traits you have mentioned are all important to bring up responsible, disciplined and constructive child.
Empathy it self brings so many other positive traits. When parents are able to put their foot in the child's shoe, they are likely to treat the kids with better emotions and are able to resolve their problems. Kids easily acquire a comfort zone with an empathetic parent.
I hqv3 no second opinion about consistency. Rules regulations and expectations only work when there is consitency of behavior. If there is fluctuation discipline is unlikely to be established.
And yes, risilience is also of immense importance. If we are not resilient as parents we cannot be consistent. Moreover, while we are facing emotionla upheaval we are likely to treat our children unfairly. Only a risilient parent me keep one's emotional state in balance.
