Well to be honest I don't about any contributions which women have made in the scientific field

You forgot Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin.
Rosalind was the one who discovered the DNA helical structure, which was actually stolen and other scientists used that for their benefit.
And also noble prizes are not given after death so she didn't receive any.
