RE: Some Major Environmental Issues in England – What’s Happening?

in Deep Dives13 days ago

I was horrified last year in England to find it just wasn't safe to swim hardly anywhere anymore. There seemed to be sooo much less wildlife than when I lived there 15 years ago too

Sort:

There are still plenty of safe varieties of swimming locations around, not connected to this polluted water. Some wild areas are ok, beaches like the Blackpool and Wlterinng beach are good too.

I think I just found it hard not to be near a safe body of water to swim in. It's hard to get anywhere in the UK and I'd also heard of ear infections down in cornwall- it's like you have to check wind, swell, tides AND sewerage which was crazy to me.

And it is too cold here to swim! It is not the best place for water sports, etc. Most people go abroad to do this type of activity where they can enjoy. 😊💗

If I lived in the UK I would too! Plus stupid parking fees... Etc etc

Spot on! Now we also have a clean air zone, where they charge vehicles to pass through—apparently to reduce nitrogen dioxide—but who knows whose pocket the money goes into?

Bees and insect population has dropped, they are the pollinators and affected lots of things.

So far the wild life around where I am is still good, some lakes are still ok for crayfishing etc. it is concerning though.
