Honestly, this new generation of NVMe SSDs have a very long lifespan. The cloning is only one write pass each time, so it really doesn't degrade them very much. I use each SSD, with its Arch/Artix installation, for months at a time, then I swap for another, and clone the last one. I also do clone the SSD that I'm currently using, when I make notable changes to the system in some way. Also HHDs do survive her just fine, but it became increasingly difficult to find new laptops that supported HHDs. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I wonder if you have considered using (or at least trying to find) a "sovereignty-driven cloud storage" if one exists that meets your criteria for being actually "sovereignty-driven", where you can have (at least) one copy of your important files stored securely offsite. 🤔
Anyway, #HiveSuite already has a Drive functionality, which is working but only has 100 MB (not yet expandable) at the moment. 😎 There's already much progress there compared to SPK FIles (which I can't easily find now). 🤯😅
