If you are looking for a movie that is gonna make your weekend memorable, I would recommend this interesting masterpiece.
No one recommended this movie to me, I was bored and looking for a movie that would drain that boredom from my body, so I stumbled upon this movie, the title gripped my attention "That I can't let it pass by" so I downloaded it and started watching with my snacks by the side.
The plot
Kinda Pregnant is an amazing movie that tells the story of "Lainy." Lainy is so fascinated about motherhood that even as a child, she would always play the role of a mom giving birth while her best friend Kate played the role of the midwife.
Lainy and Kate grew up to be teachers in the same school, Kate is married and becomes pregnant. Lainy, on the other hand, broke up with her boyfriend of four years due to an experience he wanted, but Lainy wasn't in for it. Lainy loses her cool because she was expecting a proposal at that particular dinner, but unfortunately, everything leads to a breakup.
The next day at school, Lainey finds out about Kate's pregnancy and is happy for her, but, at the same time, feels left out of the flow. Same day in school, another younger teacher revealed her pregnancy. Lainy and Kate went to the maternity store when Lainy stumbled upon a fake pregnancy belly, she tried it on and stood in front of the mirror, admiring herself when an old lady walked in and started showering her with some sweet words.
Lainy walked out of the store with the fake pregnancy belly and discovered that everyone was being nice to her that day, it felt like the day shouldn't come to an end. Lainy decided to experience the pregnant women's yoga for herself, so she went there with her fake pregnancy belly and befriended another pregnant named "Megan".
Lainy and Megan would always go to yoga together, and the friendship grew to the point that Megan invited Lainy to her house for dinner when Lainy bumped into "Josh" someone she met a few days before claiming pregnant, Josh was surprised to see Lainy being pregnant because the first day he saw her, she didn't look pregnant.
A lot happens in Lainy's life as she tries to create a balance for both lives.
My Review
This movie is nice, I love the fact that it made me laugh all through; there wasn't a boring scene. For the cast, they did an amazing job, especially "Megan" played by Brianne Howey, whom I know from the movie series "Ginny and Georgia."
I know the movie is a comedy movie but then there is also one part that I don't understand. Because it always looks at the other side of life when your best friend has everything you wanted and how you cope with it, Lainy couldn't cope with it, so she had to fake being pregnant to feel better and experience the journey for herself.
Aside from what I've mentioned above, the movie is a nice one, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in watching it.
