I saw it like for the seventh time in June this year. I was always hesitant about watching it because I didn’t want it to ruin the impression that book left me. What a piece of great work I was missing. While it’s not exactly better than the book, it’s certainly worth it. The whole production is incredible and Dustin Hoffman was excellent as the old wise Baldini. I’m currently reading the book for the fourth time, I don’t know but this story has something captivating that grabs you and never lets you go. If you haven’t read it, well, you must.
