I have always been a fan of Hollywood movies and others but I get really caught off guard after watching this Amazing Nollywood Movie. For the first time In a while, I enjoyed a Nigerian movie to the core.
So the Movie is about a clergy Man's story whose challenges of life really messed up his faith, his wife and daughter was burnt alive after some issues with an hoodlum terrorising his town, He lost his faith and was completely broken, this movie is a very awesome one.
So let's check the Plot of the Movie
Our protagonist Timi who is the main star of the film is a young man who excelled academically,he spoke 16 languages and became the first African clergyman in the Church of England. After He married Bridget (A very Beautiful white lady) and having a daughter, he returns to Nigeria, living a fulfilling life until tragedy strikes.
His family falls victim to Baby Fire,(Baby Fire a local thug, who mercilessly terrorised the town) and leading to a series of tragic events that turn Timi into a recluse.The film later introduces Elijah, who changes Timi's life and helps him rediscover his faith and purpose.
What I really loved about this movie
So I really have not been watching a lot of Nollywood movies but my friend was praising this movie, so I had to squeeze out time to actually confirm if his claim was true, I have to confirm I was rather surprised by the powerful storytelling of the Movies, a very impressive cinematography that I haven't seen in Nigerian films for sometime now and finally the outstanding performances from the Cast of this film.
This might just be the first time I'm seeing those actors but I must confess that they are really good.
My Cast Rating
- Wale Ojo He plays the role of Old Timi, superb performance from him, honestly I would give him a 8/10 rating
- Chimezie Imo played the role of Elijah (the young man who efforts helped our protagonist to find his paths and purpose), excellent performance and easy 8.5/10
- Genoveva Umeh played the role of Anna I would give her 7/10
- Ademola Adedoyin played the role of Young Timi. His acting is actually Top Notch, this is an easy 9/10 for me.
- Eku Edewor played the role of Bridget, this is an easy 8.5/10
Overall for me all these cast Did superbly well.
The Theme of this movie
"Breath of Life" is a very beautiful thought-provoking Drama that explores the theme of love, resilience, and cultural nuances. This movie is both heartwarming and thought-provoking,for me I think this Movie is a must-watch for fans of Nigerian cinema.
Recommendations
I would definitely recommend this movie for you, if you love movies that really triggers you to know more about life, Love, faith and purpose.
