How to Train Your Dragon (2025) Was Goooood!

My experience with this movie was a very interesting one. Thing is I watched some of the cartoon versions when I was a child. Now I know the animated version has a part 1, 2 & 3. I didn't know that before watching this 2025 live auction.

While watching the live action I thought it was a brand new plot that hadn't been used in the past animated versions. I was happy to see that it was a new story rather than a repeat. I was happy for this because I thought it meant they are going to make even more new stories in future and do something great like a new trilogy with new exciting stories for the audience of this era.

But when I finished watching I went online and found out the story was exactly the same with the one used in the first animated How to Train Your Dragon installment.

That was kinda sad but kinda cool too. Cool because I was so happy I hadn't watched that first installment, because if I had I wouldn't have enjoyed the movie as much as I did because it's a story I already know. I must've missed the first part somehow when I was younger, and as it turned out I was fortunate to.

Now the sad part is that it seemed they're probably only going to be about reenactments from here on in. I hope they don't do that in subsequent sequels. I hope the sequels don't use the same stories that were used in the animated version, that would just be sad and boring. I think it's not bad to use the same story for this first one like they have, but who would want to watch the sane story again for two new sequels when the only difference would be that this is the live action version.

That would be very boring, wouldn't it?

The whole How to Train Your Dragon franchise has a great premise. A Viking village of people riding dragons, that's fun, and live action too! There are a great many new places they can take that story to and I hope they do rather than reenacting the old stories.

This first one as an origin story isn't bad at all, now they gotta go on to do greater newer stuff!

Judging The Live Action

It was gooooood!

The visual effects was quite perfect. The actors nailed it, the dragons looked real enough, also wasn't it absolutely dope that they got Gerard Butler? The exact same guy who did the voice for Stoick the Vast in the animation to reprise the role in the live action?

It was really great that could come together, that the kind of thing fans want to see when animations are made into live action versions.

I watched the 1st animation movie way back and liked it. Generally I'm not a fan of the real life adaptations of older animated films but this one by looking at the scores and reviews seems different. I likely will give at a chance some day. Thanks for the review!

I enjoyed watching the movie as well and to be sincere the graphics and storyline was an interesting one.

Yeah, bro 😀🤝

I haven't watched it but your sharing of your experience has made me interested to watch it.

Cool 🤝
