Curiously, among the few Mel Gibson films I remember seeing, this is one in which they try to replicate the classic story of the three ghosts of Christmas. The kind of humor from those times is one I grew up seeing in movies, so it's only natural that I find it amusing, although I admit it's not the best humor in the world. I also agree with you about the lack of development of some secondary characters. But hey, overall, the movie isn't that bad.
