Watching the first two seasons of arrow was incredible and upon realizing that my favourite superhero was getting a live action series made it even better. I have been a huge fan of the flash ever since I was a kid even when I had little material to work with growing up. The thought of being able to run faster than the speed of light brought exciting chills down my spine and only one character I was fully confident could go that far. The animated series of the Justice League made me fall for the character the flash and the scene where he single handedly took down lex Luther fused with Brainac made him stand out even more to me among other super powered fictional characters.
The flash is a superhero TV series which kicked off in 2014 possessing 9 seasons all summing up to a total of 184 episodes. It is based on DC comics with the character of the same name. The flash series tells the story of Barry Allen, a forensics scientist who works for the central city police department helping the police solve crimes through thorough investigations. During the course of one of his investigations he goes to S.T.A.R labs because of a robbery that transpired there and he saw the particle accelerator for the first time. Later that very same night, the particle accelerator exploded and Barry was struck by lightning leaving him in
a comatose state for months. Upon waking up, he discovers that he now possesses speed-like powers with the ability to run faster than the speed of light. With help from the three scientists remaining at S.T.A.R labs namely Cisco Ramon, Dr. Harrison Wells and Caitlin Snow, he learns how to use his newly found powers donning the moniker THE FLASH as he protects the city from criminals and people who also gained powers from the particle accelerator but choose to use it for selfish reasons.
Now I know a lot of people would think that being struck by lightning is the major event in the series but personally I believe that it comes second to the death of the protagonist's mother. The main character (Barry Allen) experiences his mother murdered and father framed for it which builds him up with a sense of duty to clear his father's name, free him from imprisonment and find justice for his mother. Without this event, Barry would never have become a forensic scientist which eventually led to him becoming the Flash. In the third season episode Barry goes back in time to save his mother, he changes the entire timeline and plot of the story, he never became the flash which caused significant consequences in the series even after fixing it this proving that the death of his mother Nora Allen is the biggest event in the series.
I know as the series progresses it starts to loss the IT FACTOR that drew people to it especially with Iris screaming we are the flash every 10 seconds, The flash till this day still happens to be the best live action demonstration of the comic character and I remain forever grateful to its contribution to the world wide recognition it gave my favorite super powered hero from the DC franchise.
Thank you all and this is actually my first time in the community I hope my post isn't messy already.
