Finding Nemo is not just an entertaining story, but an educative one too. The movie does not only make people see, but also for feeling. The tiniest movement or the lightest touch creates meaningful waves throughout the film in which they are not simply animated. This story is not only about fish. It represents fear, courage, and the difficult journey to confidence that individuals take.
We are swiftly carried by the tide. After a traumatic event where it lost all its young ones, a single parent fish is left to guard only one of its own. There is no time for pretense regarding the stakes; although the ocean is magnificent, it is very broad, capricious, with many predators. As such, when an over-confident child eagerly disregards the impatience of others in order to prove he can look after himself alone and goes off into deep water where a man may seize him at any moment, his boldness causes genuine terror. Everyone experiences sorrow when they lose a loved one-it’s just so intense!
But, the Finding Nemo is not only about the journey, but also about how surprising events can lead us to our destination. Everything takes a turn when the main character crosses paths with a companion who suffers from a case of amnesia but is ever hopeful. These two are total opposites; one is always careful and looks around for possible problems while the other one cannot remember most things and is happy-go-lucky about what will happen tomorrow. Nevertheless it appears that this combination serves as an impetus for their progress.
The story is outstanding because it presents strength instead of weakness in the face of challenges. In this case, there are no heroes who are completely right. Errors occur. Panic strikes. Development is untidy. Nevertheless, this is all about being real and not forgetting that humans can drown too. Irony is also present such as word plays, odd characters plus ridiculous happy moments e. g. a fish talking like a whale? Or perhaps a gang planning to escape from jail found in an aquarium inside a tank? However, within every joke cracked lies some seriousness; an authentic exposed emotional core.
Among the most enduring memories are those characterized by silence. These include but not limited to; a school of fish swirling into various formations, a coral reef glowing under the gentle light of the sun, a small fin struggling to stay on par with larger ones in a hopeless situation, and a single spoken word passed around quietly as “just keep swimming.” This is more than a mere advice to the fish. It serves as an important reminder for every person who may think that they have gone very far, when there is no apparent solution or end in sight.
At the end of it all, when they finally meet for the last time in an emotional but well deserved fashion without fireworks or making noise, we see that every moment of this journey was justified. In this case, development does not come from winning over something or fighting with enemies. Rather, it is seen through trusting other people and releasing control so that individuals may act independently even when such actions go counter to one’s plans of affection for him or her.
The message of Finding Nemo is not shouted but rather subtly provided and allowed to have its place. This message remains for long and long even after the end of the movie and the laughter is no more heard; All that is left is the bravery of those people who risk everything in love and freedom.
This movie is meant for everyone, including parents, visionaries and lost individuals, however, with a soft voice just like the ocean.
