Nie lubię komedii romantycznych. Za wyjątkiem tych grudniowych. Komedie świąteczne to zupełnie inny gatunek moim zdaniem. Opowieści pełne uroku i magii świąt, nastrajają, bawią, wzruszają. Bardzo lubię wszelakie "Listy do M.", a teraz sprawdziłam coś nowego: "Uwierz w Mikołaja", dostępny na platformie Netflix (link: netflix).
I don't like romantic comedies. Except for the December ones. Christmas comedies are a completely different genre, in my opinion. Stories full of holiday charm and magic, they inspire, entertain, and move. I really enjoy all kinds of "Letters to Santa," and now I've checked out something new: "Believe in Santa," available on Netflix (link: netflix).
Było tu wszystko co należy: zagubieni ludzie, dużo śniegu, dramaty i miłość. Piękna świąteczna sceneria, aktorzy, na których miło popatrzeć. Oprócz Antoniego Pawlickiego, którego bardzo lubię jako aktora, a grał tutaj gada, i denerwował, co tylko świadczy o tym, że dobry aktor nawet mendę zagra przekonująco (choć akurat nie w tym filmie najbardziej doceniam jego kunszt aktorski).
It had everything you need: lost people, lots of snow, drama, and love. Beautiful Christmas scenery, and actors who were a pleasure to watch. Except for Antoni Pawlicki, whom I really like as an actor, and he played a bad and irritating role here, which only goes to show that a good actor can play even a lout convincingly (though this isn't the film I most appreciate his acting skills in).
Część akcji dzieje się w domu seniora i dzięki temu mamy też sporo fajnych, starych twarzy na ekranie. A przy okazji możemy chwilkę zastanowić się nad tym, jak upływa czas, i jak święta spędzą osoby starsze i samotne.
Part of the action takes place in a retirement home, which also brings a lot of cool, old faces to the screen. It also gives us a moment to reflect on how time passes and how the elderly and lonely will spend the holidays.
Oczywiście mnie najbardziej wzrusza wątek z biednym dzieckiem, które postanawia w te święta zaadoptować jakąś babcię. Więc gdy dziewczynka trafia do owego domu seniora, wreszcie ma w czym wybierać! Choć, broń boże, nie każda z przebywających tam seniorek ma kwalifikacje na babcię :)
Of course, I'm most moved by the storyline involving the poor child who decides to adopt a grandmother this holiday season. So when the girl ends up in that retirement home, she finally has a lot to choose from! Although, heaven forbid, not every senior citizen there is qualified to be a grandmother :)
