Hi,
I've seen, today, a trailer that got me excited. As I've seen 5–6 films in the past 3 years, mostly due to the woke crap that is infused in them, as jokes are not funny any more, you have diversity in each film and crap like that. I love films, that are honest, brutal, funny, and with a poetic storyline.
I got excited, as Guy Ritchie, is doing films worth watching, without that woke thing that no one needs. He does tell stories, with amazing character development and unsuspected plot twists. His movies are incredibly good.
In The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare he tells a real story, about the British Army's No. 62 Commando, the Small Scale Raiding Force - SSRF, from where the SAS - Special Air Service derived.
The founder of the commando is Gus March-Phillipps, who is played by Henry Cavill, he is joined by Alan Ritchson who plays Anders Lassen, both who have died in World War II. The thing is that I like that the actors are looking like commando guys, big and manly. Anders Lassen is doing a great job in The Reacher.
We also have Ian Fleming, the father of James Bond, who is played by Freddie Fox. Ian Fleming got the inspiration for his books, by his work during the war. He was involved in the Operation Goldeneye, if this rings any bell. Ian Fleming was involved in the blueprint writing for the CIA, just as a reference.
The British got inspired for the German commando unit Waffen SS Sonderverband z.b.V. Friedenthal, led by Otto Skorzeny. Otto Skorzeny was so good, that after the war, Mossad recruited him to work for them.
Now back to the film, I'm excited, Guy Ritchie, British humour, real muscles, history and some great songs, as Queen - Another bites the dust, from the trailer is a song I love!
Really looking into a fun film!
How about you? Do you like Guy Ritchie? What films do you fancy?
