RE: I Made Mooncakes!

in Foodies Bee Hive20 days ago

You have just given me a desert inspiration ❤️ and by the way I love the shape and the golden brown final outcome. Thank you so much for sharing but can I ask, what is the lifespan, I mean how long can it last before getting spoil or losing taste?

Sort:

I research it.

Types of Mooncakes
The type of mooncake you have will significantly impact its shelf life. The two main categories of mooncakes are:
Traditional Mooncakes: These are usually filled with dense pastes such as lotus or red bean and often contain salted egg yolks. If stored in a cool, dry place and kept in airtight packaging, traditional mooncakes can last up to 2-4 weeks at room temperature.
Snow Skin Mooncakes: Made with glutinous rice flour and typically filled with fresh ingredients or fruits, snow skin mooncakes have a shorter shelf life. They are best consumed within 3-5 days at room temperature.

But I guarantee that it won't last longer than a week! They are so delicious. @temmylade!

Thank you so much for this knowledge shared.
A week is actually fine by me, storing it for a week and making another one over the weekend for the next week is totally fine.

Thank you so much for the token 😘

You're welcome. sis!
