Unfortunately I think people get wedded to the theory.
DOGE has been an interesting reveal of the novel mechanisms used to redistribute tax revenue.

I don't know that automation and AI will substantially change how futures economies look, at some future point it likely does become technologically trivial to fill basic human needs.
