Last Saturday and Sunday, I took a short trip in my car. I have 1,500 km left behind me.
According to the state of the weather, according to the driving conditions, these were completely different days.
On Saturday, I drove relaxed and looked around, fixed and memorized the places where I could stop on the way back to take photos with memories of my trip. But our plans are not always fulfilled, we often have to rearrange our plans.
Greetings friends.
I left the house at about 6 o'clock. For about 10 minutes I had to clean the car from the snow falling on Friday. I was worried that the road would be bad, uncleaned from snow, but the road services worked well and the road was quite clean.
I needed to get to Yaroslavl, meet my daughter, and start driving back in the morning. What's the fun of my trip? I had to pick up two cats from her and bring them to my house. Daughter, son-in-law, and grandson went on vacation from Moscow on the shore of the Rybinsk reservoir, but animals cannot live in a hotel room. That's why I had to pick up the cats. Tomorrow my daughter and her family will visit me for a whole month.
When I left Kirov, it turned out that the fog would interfere with me. I drove for about an hour in the dark and fog. By 8 a.m. it was lighter outside, but the fog was still present.
About 2-3 years ago, such lighting lanterns were installed along this federal highway in difficult places and in populated areas. This is great progress in road safety at night and in foggy conditions.
And it can be difficult to drive along this highway, especially in winter. The flow of heavy trucks can be very dense, the road is narrow, but you want to drive fast, so you often have to overtake trucks. When it is dark and foggy, or especially when it rains in autumn, it absolutely becomes impossible to see oncoming cars. And this is considered a federal highway across Russia from Vladivostok to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
When I was driving towards Yaroslavl, I realized that I had enough time before the meeting, so I decided to make one stop anyway when I saw a village on a hill. Somehow she seemed attractive to me. Maybe landscapes from my childhood popped up in my head.
I stopped, crossed to the other side of the road, and started shooting with the camera.
I also made one stop at my wife's mom, my mother-in-law. I had lunch and drank tea. My mother-in-law is 83 years old, as is my mother. She lives alone now and has to clear the snow from the paths in winter. She's used to them being kept perfectly clean.
For the pleasure of living in our house, we have to pay such a fee.
The road is abundantly watered with salt water or sprinkled with a mixture of sand and salt in places. Of course, on the one hand, it improves driving, but on the other hand, the windshield gets dirty and the car itself becomes dirty and covered with a layer of salt, especially the wheels. They turn white.
On Sunday morning, the air temperature dropped to -26 degrees. During my trip, it rose to about -15 degrees. The way back was more difficult. I drove non-stop, only again with a stop at my mother-in-law's. This is because I left 2 hours later than planned.
But in the end, everything turned out well. Cats are running around the house now, bullying. Considering that I have 4 cats, now there are 6 furry tails running around.
