Plans - Are you someone who makes plans for their life? What do you do when something doesn't go according to plan? Are you able to adapt your plans to what happens unexpectedly in your life? How do you do it?

A plan is the ability to set clear goals and establish a roadmap to achieve them. In planning, there is the goal and then the how and when to actualize it.
There is a popular saying that states, “When you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. “For someone to succeed in life, there is a need to plan and execute such plans. Planning is good because it helps one to be on track, removing distractions from the set goals. In achieving a set goal, there is no one route, because sometimes such plans might not go as envisaged.
So my ultimate ingredients in planning are flexibility and re-strategizing.
Furthermore, plans are not cast in stone; sometimes too they may fail. The reason why we are always advised to have a plan B should the major plan fail. I like planning my life and activities because it helps me to concentrate and move strategically to set goals.
Once upon a time, in my place of work, there was a need to dismiss two employees that stolen. Unfortunately, there was no candidate to replace them; that challenge prompted me to put in place a succession plan, which made replacements easier.
Recently, there was a need to replace an employee; however, the candidate to replace the employee resigned as well, thwarting the succession plan. I had to call the employee who resigned and negotiate an extension plan to enable me to onboard an employee for replacement.

When my plan fails, I restrategise, I do not remain there, I quickly look for the best possible way out, and move on towards my set goals. What keeps me going is the motivation that not all roads lead to failure. If one I am currently working on fails, I feel bad, but quickly re-strategize.
In conclusion, staying focused and flexible to unexpected change helps me perform a quick turnaround to set goals, knowing that sometimes we may propose and God may dispose.
