HELLO HIVE
Diseases in crops has been a huge challenge for agriculture over centuries with farms of huge sizes been wiped out by different kinds of diseases in major agricultural crisis to curb this several methods have been developed to control this but it is still not as subdue though there has been a lot of progress so far.
The fluted pumpkin on my farm are showing sign of disease that is spreading gradually from plant to plant and I have seen similar cases where the disease comes and my fluted pumpkin begins to dry up the major symptom is the green leaf of the plant that gradually turns yellow before it eventually dries up.
When this symptoms begin to show up I just have to scrap off all the green parts of the plant and start cultivating the farm all over again, there are some conservative ways to reduces theses disease and that's the only way that I can think of right now.
To prevent and manage diseases in fluted pumpkin is to implement good cultural practices like proper spacing, crop rotation, removal of infected plant material, and applying fungicide this practices will help reduce the problem of disease to a near minimal point.
Bacterial leaf spot is one disease to keep an eye on when cultivating fluted pumpkin for a plant that is commonly consumed in Africa the need for increased study of pest and diseases of this plant is very important.
