HELLO HIVE
Yams are an important crop in many parts of the world with nutrient full tubers and highly starched tuber yam tubers are special kinds of tubers and they are propagated vegetatively by planting pieces of tubers cut from the harvested tuber it is a rewarding process that allow the cultivation of massive amounts of land with produce gotten from former year.
Before cultivating the land has to be cleared and after which we acquire good viable yam seeds collecting the seeds from last years harvest means that we spend less than we expect but if we do not have any from the previous year then we can as well get some supplies of it from local markets.
After planting some tubers few months back the tubers have started germinating after some rain some farmers prefer to first plant them in pots before moving them to the farm after the first sets of leafs have emerged but that won't be the case for me because I didn't take that route instead the seedlings were planted directly on the farm, some have already started having the first leafs while others have yet to sprout.
My concern now is that probably those that have not germinated might have gotten spoilt in the ground due to the heavy heat I will confirm that in the next few days so I will plan what's next.
