Gathering wood for cooking because of the high cost of cooking gas.

HELLO HIVE

The cost of charcoal made from wood and used mainly for cooking either outdoors or indoors shifted our attention to using gas which wasn't popular then and only a few homes had it now it is a different story entirely because the cost of gas has also gone up significantly from #400 to #1500 in some places at most, this meant we couldn't afford using either of the two with a bag of charcoal also at a very costly rate people living in communities that are close to where they can get wood easily are gradually reverting to it.

Years back we didn't have cooking gas and we hardly made use of charcoal because as farmers we could easily get wood at no cost and store it up so we could use it gradually over some period that was the way it was until we felt it was time we started using the gas cooker and save ourselves the stress.

After enjoying it for some years the present economic hardship is making that way of life difficult to keep because the cost is hitting high levels for people who are only managing to keep up with its price and now I don't know if we will be back to using gas cooker any time soon and that's why I am gathering up some woods and I am sure it will keep me going for some months before another need arises.

It is tough this day and every day I wonder how so many people are keeping up with the economy.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

If you prefer to cook with charcoal, you can very easily make charcoal from your wood. There are many videos on YouTube.

Thank you I will check YouTube for it

In our farm I usually used some wood but now I prefer to use charcoal. 😊

It is ideally less stressful

Yeah, indeed. 😊
