Phew! What a day!
I went to my former area today in search of a house and my plan was to leave there by 3 p.m. so I could meet up with the test we have in class today by 5p.m. The journey is 1 hour without traffic and that was exactly how long it took me to get there in the morning, I left the place around 10 minutes to 3, and within 20 minutes, I was already at Iyana Ipaja, my plan was falling into place until I get to where I would get a bus to carry me to my destination.

Unfortunately, only 2 passengers were on the bus, I joined them and hoped the bus would be full within 10 mins but I was disappointed, it shocked me that 30 minutes later, only one more passenger joined us, it was already 4 o clock and I could not risk waiting for more passengers to come cos if they don't, I will miss the test and that is the last thing I want to happen to me.
Rather than be the patient dog, I took the bull by the horn, alighted from the bus, and entered another bus going to Oshodi in the hope of getting Yaba motor there, there was still time, I had 1 hour!. The journey to Oshodi was fast, within 15mins we got there only to meet another almost empty bus cos only 4 passengers were in it too and the transport fare was 700 Naira, I felt somehow that I had to leave the place where the tf was 800, board a bus of 500 Naira only to get there and hear that the tf is 700 Naira, what a loss! But I had no choice
It didn't take 30 minutes before the bus was full and within 15mins, I got to Yaba, the time was already 4:54 p.m., and I had just 6 minutes, so I rushed home to pick up my textbook and dashed to school, I got to school by 5:05 p.m, Luckily the lecturer was not yet around and it took another 25 minutes before he entered the class... I did not miss the test, if I had decided to be patient and wait for the other bus to be full, I might have missed the test.

I was able to avoid being disappointed today by making a fast decision that yielded good results but this does not mean that I have never been disappointed, some incidents are unforgettable in our lives, such as this particular one I am about to share.
When I was in senior secondary school, I had a friend that we lap each other when going home to reduce the amount we would spend on transport fare, on this fateful day, I gambled with all my money which included my tf, I had lost it all before I regained my senses and I searched for my guy to tell him what happened and I want him to pay our tf and tomorrow I will return the favor. He said no problem... I felt relaxed since I had got the Tf issue sorted but I was disappointed when it was time to go home and my guy was nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere for him but could not find him until someone told me he left with another person, which means he left me behind to lap with someone else because of what happened.
It pained me to my bone marrow because I felt he betrayed me, this guy was my close friend and we attended the same junior secondary school before we gained admission into the same senior secondary school, we visited each other at home and even borrowed film disc from each other, we had something going on, so I did not expect him to leave me stranded like that.
I was wrong for gambling with my Tfare but it helped to create a way to test the person I called a friend, if it was him in that position, I wouldn't have left him stranded knowing I am his only hope to getting home but I guess everyone can't be like me.
In the end, it was another classmate of mine who helped me when I told him my situation without asking for me to return the favor because he doesn't lap with others but he just did it to help me that day...
The next day we saw in class, I did not bother to ask him why he left without telling me but that was the end of us going home together, I found another partner that we would lap together but that didn't stop us from talking, we were classmates.
The only thing that changed was that he was no longer my friend who I would sacrifice my happiness and comfort for because he does not deserve it.
