When life gives you lemons, make lemonades. That’s my motto for this year. Life has been so good to me that I can say that I’m far beyond where I thought I was going to be by now.
When I was much younger, I aimed to work in a bank. I’ve always wanted to be a banker but today, I’m working for myself in a grocery store which my parents opened for me. All thanks to them because without them, I may be in the bank working for someone but I’m glad I’m here today working for myself.
I think there are regrets which is just that I could have started this earlier but it’s never too late to start what I want and be where I want to be.
The big dreams I have set for myself are still valid and intact even though I’m not close to it yet. I have always wanted to have a place like Shoprite or even bigger than that and I’m sure that I can still achieve it as long as the goal is still intact.
The only thing stopping me from achieving this goal is the fact that there is no much money for me to start up what I want to do. Imagine me saying I want to have a business or mall as big as ShopRite, it means I will have nothing less than a billion Naira whereas, I’m still in my early millionaire stage which means that I still have a long way to go.
Since money is the only restraint, the only thing I can do to break free from this restraint is by working harder everyday and building my wealth gradually so I can achieve my dream.
It’s sad to say that not all of us will achieve our dreams. This is not me being pessimistic but it is the truth and one thing that hinders most individuals from achieving their goals is because they look down on themselves.
A lot of people don’t believe themselves so when they want to go for big things in life, they feel it’s too big and that they won’t be able to achieve it.
I know there maybe someone or people I’m talking to through this post. Never give up and when life gives you lemons, make lemonades out of it.
