To someone who is naive or a child who's just gathering knowledge, the first question would be that "does disaster comes from natural things? At least everything created for us are good.
Whereas, for anyone who has experienced or has been a victim of natural disasters, either they were able to rise from it or it became their start to bad life, they would always tremble at the mention of it.
No one plans for natural disasters to happen to them. It happens suddenly even when you weren't expecting it to happen.
You would see some people insuring their properties based on natural disasters because they believe no one could tell what may happen in the nearest future.
Recently, there has been constant raining of heavy downpour which has caused some areas to be flooded.
My permanent residence of my parent is a place located close to water side, so sometimes we experience flood and it has become the normal thing but this time around it surpasses everyone's imagination as the flood became too much that it started entering into houses and causing the appliances in some homes to start floating. Shops that are closer to the roads had their equipments or tools in water that flow in through their doors.
The worst part is that, house owners had to pack out their belongings from their houses to a safer place till the water flows out from their homes and they also had to find somewhere else to sleep. These are the situations of people who own their houses but currently turned homeless because of the excessive flooding.
Thankfully, mine wasn't too affected as it was just the compound that was filled with water due to the fact that ours is located a high filled place and the foundation of the building is a bit high to the land as well.
Other instances are when rain falls exclusively and you could barely step out of your house because the whole place and street is flooded. You don't know where the start of the drainages is or where the road pot holes are which may cause one falling into them and getting drained, hurt or even killed if care is not taken and the only solution had to be staying back home and not going out or lightning that destroys people's home or properties.
Looking through examples of natural disasters from the prompt details and internet, majorly they are but not limited to flood, earthquake, hurricanes, volcano eruption, Landslides,Tsunamis, Wildfires, Tornadoes, Droughts etc but do you know there are these most occurring natural disasters that we don't even get to really think about or carry on our heads as a big deal because they are kind of easy to move on from and get through with.
An Example is a day I was walking down in a street, and suddenly there was a rolling like storm on the road which was a dusty just-graded road which caused a dusty atmosphere. Because of the sudden change in the atmosphere, my eyes came in contact with the particles of the dust and in as much as I was supposed to run away from the dusty area or avoid the rolling storm, I could only move at a very low pace with half eyesight, with the mindset of not allowing storm take me away.
In few minutes, the whole atmosphere cleared off but my eyes did not.
It was as if my eyes were an apartment rented for needles to shook me. I barely could open my eyes and had to receive help of opening my eyes to clean water in a bowl for some minutes and that was when I could see again with my full eyesight. You know the feelings of turning half-blind in a few minutes but thankfully I was able to get my eyes cleared again.
Some experiences earthquake and other major natural disasters in some part of the world, which cost several lives and properties to be wasted.
So what I would advice anyone passing through one or the other form of natural disaster is assessing risk beforehand and planning a well structured preventive means before any actual occurrence.
If in case of flooding, there should be proper building planning to ensure that flood doesn't easily penetrate into their homes and that it could withstand flood when it actually happens. Proper drainages should also be made and not stingy to drainage, using the whole land for house and parking spaces.
I also feel like there should be more awareness from government to the citizens or private sectors who has to with environmental services in terms of natural disasters and this time around not about the causes alone but also on preventive measures.
