Electrical shock is a situation whereby the human body contacts a source of electricity which causes muscle contractions, pain, tingling and numbness.
Electrical shock is becoming common day by day and it has claimed the lives of so many people.
I’ve been a victim before but I’m lucky that I had a mild shock. For those who got hospitalized due to electrical shock, they experienced the moderate shock and for those who lost their lives to it, what they experienced was the severe shock.
For us not to ever be a victim of this, here are a few ways which we can prevent electric shocks;
• Avoid water
Once water comes in contact with electricity, it will surely cause electrical hazard. When you want to touch any electrical applicance especially one that is plugged into a working socket, make sure that your hands are dry before toucjing it.
• Avoid naked wires
It’s really good to inspect our cables. Many times, some parts of it might have got broken or open and if we mistakenly touch that part, we get shocked. Then, it becomes worse when it’s a very powerful cable which is capable of taking ones life.
• Proper inspection of home wiring
If you do not employ licensed or capable electricians, a part of the wiring may not be fixed well. You may not know because everything may work out fine until it decides to spark and by then, it’s going to be so dangerous and also a big deal.
As much as you know the way to prevent electric shocks, these are also the things that causes it. For your information, electrical shock causes cardiac arrest which causes death in most people, nerve and muscle damage and also so many things that comes with it.
Let’s prevent electric shocks for the sake of our health. Also, we should be familiar with our electronics and whatever problem they develop or the ones they are likely to.
Electrical shock is risky, try all your best to avoid it.
