It puts things in perspective, you know? The commitment. I may not post every single day, and I may not comment on every post I read, but, I'm still here.

I was here before communities existed and built them anyway.

I was here when long form content was the only thing appreciated.

I was here for the bidbot wars.

I was here for RocksDB.

I was here for Mira.

I was here for the birth of Hive.

I was here for pretty much everything.

And still am.

My, how they have grown. I might even say, they've grown more than Hive! I sometimes wonder if it even matters that I'm here. Outside of some personal connections, I don't think it would matter if I disappeared. The higher ups don't actually listen, they have their own agenda and how they want Hive to be. It's like they purposely want us to remain in a low spot so nobody notices and they can keep milking their cows.

I like to eat cows. Hive is getting pretty well aged and it's not putting out any good calves. At least nothing I've seen draw a crowd. Maybe it's time for the slaughterhouse? Guess I should call the butcher and see what he's up to. In the meantime, I'll skulk around and remind you to REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even as I sharpen the axe.
