Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My current goal is 60k Hive.
Last week I made 230.37, bringing me to 42855.65 total Hive Power. That’s 71.4% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 42855.65 gives us 17144.35. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 52.8 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point. Last week it was 52.3, meaning… I’m still losing ground. Well, maybe this week will be better.
Second Layer Tokens
Even if I was chasing after a Hive-Engine token right now, the Hive Engine mess of the past few days would have kind of thrown a wrench into the works. If nothing else, I am considering buying even more RUG. The altcoins have really taken a beating lately, but I think the defi space still has a lot of potential. That in mind, I still see a lot of positives for RUG.
But I don’t know. After things recover hopefully this week, we’ll see. The frailness of Hive Engine also makes me think about moving some of my funds there off chain, perhaps to the SOL or SUI ecosystem.
Silver
Since I’m doing this at night, which is not the norm, I can see how this week is starting in the US. But we’ll stick with last week’s chart to keep things consistent.

You can see, it was a pretty good week! And (spoilers) that is continuing so far today! Well, I’m going to bed after I post this, so y’all make sure it continues without me watching!
Anyway, you know what? Last week I didn’t look at coins at all. Not new ones anyway. I was on a junk silver kick, looking at mainly US junk silver but also Japanese. Actually I did pick up several old Japanese silver coins. But, yeah, US junk silver. A few weeks ago I mentioned that I wanted to pick up some more Mercury dimes. I buy them when they show up here, but as you can imagine that isn’t so often. So I’ve been looking at the sites. Check this out:

Looks like you can get a roll for around $128.16 right now, which doesn’t seem too bad. I’m considering buying two rolls for free shipping and having them sent to my parents house, then next time I am in the States I can either pick them up and bring them with me, or sell them if the price of silver has jumped enough by then. But maybe just bring them with me. I like the idea of having a few Mercery dimes with me all the time. Maybe giving one away every now and again to people who mighty appreciate old coins or silver or both to spread cheer.
If you like that idea too, get that roll here.
I don’t know, that’s probably a crazy idea. Giving away money, even if it’s only what amounts to a $2 coin here and there, is not the way to wealth. Oh well.

Giveaway
That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @bozz @day1001 @dewabrata @doombot75 @foxkat @irisworld @jpatrick28 [x2] @kaibagt [x2] @kerrislravenhill @okarun [x2] @opidia [x2] @thebighigg [x2] @vaynard86 [x2].
And the winners are…
@kaibagt [x2] @jpatrick28 [x2] @thebighigg [x2] @day1001 @opidia [x2]!

Congratulations, everyone!

And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let’s see how this coming one goes!
