Childhood days are fun filled days, it is a time you worry less about anything pertaining to your life because your parents were solely in charge. The only thing you care about is how to always find something to eat when you're hungry and play.
Playing is the crucial thing in the mind of kids and being held down in a place infuriates them a lot. If you are conversant with my blog, you will surely know the kind of life I've lived during my childhood. I'm a teacher's daughter and my Mom worked in the primary school that I attended, so no time to play around.

Once we are back from school, after cooking and eating dinner, the next thing is to take our books and do necessary assignments then read small and after that you go to bed. I always love how our neighbors kids play in the compound but we aren't allowed to do that unless Mom decides she wants to receive fresh air in the compound then we can be outside and playing around where she sits.
The only playing time for myself and siblings was during weekends and holidays, anything apart from those time its reading galore. Whenever I'm in school, you can't see me playing around in the school compound except for sports, I'm always in the class with my books and I don't offend teachers...... you all know the teacher's kid receives the highest cane if he or she is a trouble maker, so I dare not be a trouble maker because my cane will be doubled.
So a particular scenario happened while I was in primary school either Basic 3 or 4 that I can't forget in my life, anytime I remembered I laugh uncontrollably.🤣🤣🤣
I was sent on an errand by my form master one day so I got late to the assembly, I was unable to hear the HM's explanations about the forms he was about to give out to certain pupils and you all knew that no one is allowed to talk or whisper on the assembly when teachers or the HM is talking.
So when I got back to the assembly I saw the HM given out some forms to some particular pupils and those pupils were smiling. In my mind I knew it was a scholarship form and I'm more intelligent than the pupils been giving the forms so why won't I be part of them?
All teachers were smiling including my Mom, so I was worried that how on earth will the school give out forms to pupils and I'm not included, my mood changed immediately and I knew I'm dead once I get back home.
Because Mom usually told us if we aren't first in class, we must always be among top three. So how on earth will school give out 20 forms to 20 pupils and I'm not among them? I started feeling hot from inside🤣🤣
I tried everything possible not to have eye contact with my Mom and immediately the assembly was over I ran to my class and started crying. My classmates didn't know the cause of my cry so some of my friends had to take me to our form master and the man was dumbfounded because I was crying profusely..... the cry no be small thing o🤣🤣🤣
The man had to take me straight to the HM's office for clarification, it was at the HM's office that I learnt that the scholarship was for the less privileged students who were struggling to pay school fees, wowwww I felt relieved and my brain reset immediately.
The HM called my Mom and she started making jest of me, the HM now assured me that once the scholarship that I deserve comes I will surely get mine but the one giving out that day wasn't for me.
Till today, whenever I remember this act of mine, I do laugh uncontrollably but you can't blame me now, I'm was just imagining how terrible my beating at home will be for not been among the pupils that collected the scholarship form.... Lolz... abeg no one should laugh at me o😓😓
