In our individual lives, we each have priorities that we treat with high level of seriousness more than others. Take, for instance, a mother with lots of children; it doesn't mean she loves any of them less, but she may naturally pay more attention to her last child.
This phenomenon applies to various aspects of our lives. The things we take seriously often have a significant impact on our happiness and personal growth. Personally, whenever I see positive results in areas I value highly, it brings me great joy and a sense of achievement.
As for what I take seriously, my answer is financial stability and living comfortably. I believe that hard work is the key to achieving anything we desire, and our level of commitment reflects how much we truly want it. I have met people who question why a woman should stress over financial stability when she can rely on others to get what she needs as they believe women find favour in the sight of strangers. Their perspectives puzzle me, for me,I believe financial independence brings its own form of happiness and fulfillment.
Experiencing financial hardship in my life in so different occasions had made me realize the importance of taking financial security serious. The fear of going broke, not having money in the future, and lots of others motivate me to work diligently towards financial stability, as I know the impact it can have on my overall well-being.
However, while my focus has been on securing my financial future, I have overlooked the importance of building meaningful connections and effective communication with others. I understand the value of fostering genuine relationships and the role communication plays in it, but I know if is the childhood song that was rampant then "when money dey friends go dey..." That clouded my mind. Hahahaha or my struggle to initiate and maintain conversations. I'm this type that can't keep conversation going mostly when is with someone I don't really know.
Improving my communication skills is crucial, especially in a country like ours where effective communication is vital for building strong relationships and navigating social interactions confidently. I know so many that got what they are enjoying because of their ability to communicate effectively. I acknowledge that my lack of commitment to this aspect has hindered my ability to form lasting connections with others.
Though I know that in life anything can work once we are ready to make it work. I know I can get tired after work throughout the working days, but striking a balance on how to make this overlooked aspect play a great value. Time, learning and practice can make that work if only I'm ready to take step on it.
Despite the challenges, I am determined to work on this overlooked aspect of my life some day. I know with the right approach to this, I can work and build my communication skills and cultivate meaningful relationships. All I need is just to striking the right balance between my financial goals and personal connections. Taking it serious the same way I'm doing with my finances is all I need. Even when I know the right things the time to implement it becomes a challenge.
