My secret on handling creative blocks Greetings, beautiful souls 🥰. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Question of the week says, handling creative blocks? Creative blocks I think is a normal thing in life, no one is perfect so such things are bound to happen. I don't think there is anyone who has never experienced creative blocks in life. Somebody like me now—I have different methods I use, depending on the situation I find myself in.
As a wife and a mother, sometimes even when deciding what to cook, your brain will be stuck, like you will have no idea at all, so at that moment, I will start asking the people around some funny questions, and from their answers, I will get what I want. This might sound funny, but it is actually not when you are in that position. You feel like, "Ok, I ate yam yesterday, rice the day before yesterday, and samoviter the other day," like you will be so blank at some point.
Hmm, and for writing, this has happened to me countless times when I could see a prompt, and yet the ability to write will not be there. I remember one certain day when I wanted to write in one of the communities, but I was totally blank, like there was no single idea in my head at that moment. I was having some discussion then with my sister, and I told her I said I wanted to write, but I didn't even know what to write.
And the next statement that came out of her mouth was, "Go and rest a little bit; when you wake up, ideas will come." Joking, I went to take a nap; and By the time I woke up my people, I was fully charged. And again, one thing I do when I get creative blocks is to eat; honestly, when I'm full, ideas do come. Like, I have so many things that I do whenever I get a creative block. Sometimes I could bring the prompt in my discussion with my sister or husband, and as they talk, I will get back to myself. This is not something to be worried about because there are so many ways to charge yourself. Thank you for reading through.
