Some days, I experience moments where my mind feels completely blank, with no idea on what to write. As in completely blank with no ideas. On other days, I may have a few points in my head, but putting them into proper words can be quite challenging. To overcome this creative block, I often take a simple walk down my street. While strolling, ideas begin to flow naturally, and I find myself gathering thoughts I didn’t even know were there. Sometimes I don’t even have to go far before inspiration comes.

Other times, I choose to visit a serene place where my mind can truly rest. There is a river not too far from my house, its a nice and quite place to relax,it has become one of my favorite spots to relax and calm my nerves. I go there to sit quietly, admire the beauty of nature, and let the calmness of the water soothe me. In those peaceful moments, inspiration often comes, ideas pop up, images form in my mind, and words begin to arrange themselves more easily. These little practices not only help me fight creative block but also keep me grounded, refreshed, and connected to the world around me.
There are days when I can’t go outside because of my children, what I do on such days may sound quite funny, but it actually works for me sometimes. My preschoolers don't mind having me play with them all day. In fact, I hardly get any alone time because they are always around me, full of energy and excitement. I already know that trying to sit quietly, think deeply, or meditate is out of the picture when they are by my side, so instead of fightng it, I simply join them in their little world.
What I do is PLAY, yes, real play with my children. Some days, as I laugh, run around, or join in their pretend games, ideas suddenly pop up in my head, almost as though their joy and creativity spark something inside me. On other days, inspration doesn’t come immediately, and we simply play together until the day ends, leaving me with sweet memories even if no new idea has formed.
Eventually, when I finally have a quiet moment alone, I find myself refreshed and sometimes surprised that the time spent playing has planted seeds of inspiration.
Being with my children has taught me that even in the most playful moments, creativity can find its way in. It may not always come when I expect it, but it always comes when it is meant to.
