Hiii, Students of Hive,
it's Abeegail again, welcome to my blog, I know it has been a while since I have posted generally on hive and I think have been quite busy with school work and with processing my admission and everything concern in my stay in Uniuyo. I actually want to gist you guys about my maticulation. I matriculated last week Friday, throught out the week to the matric was filled with ups and downs but I'm now recognized by my university as a student there.

Cutie 🥰

I look like I'm actually serious

I am a 100% goofball 😁😛
Despite the nice pictures and the smiles the days prior to this was very hectic and chaotic. At first when the news was circulating about our matric coming earlier than expected we all thought it was fake news and we spent the next two days debating between it being real or fake. Normally the matric was to commence close to exams, like March, that's how it has always been so we were quick to debunk the news. At some point it became very confusing, because in an hour you'll hear the matric is for postgraduates and it has nothing to do with 100level, then the next would be it's not false ooooo, Better pay on time so you can get your gown, it went on like this for two to three days. All this confusion going on while I'm preparing documents for my admission process and trying to pay my fees and register classes.

See as my cousin is shining 🌟

I am a fine girl actually 😁✨
In the midst of all this chaos, I still had to attend my cousin's inauguration event, he was elected into the student government as a senator representing his faculty. It was such a blast to attend this event and support family even, it just with my presence. Back to the matric I decided to pay just In case it actually holds. At first I was not excited to go for it because I kind of lost interest in it because I waited a long time before I gained admission but I just had to see for myself what this was all about. I paid a day to the matric because I skeptical, but had I know that it would actually hold I would have done so since because I wasn't opportune to get the matriculation gown because I was late, and I was late because I had to make my hair too that same day.

Look at me laughing like this school won't stress my life

My rock

My squad
Fast forward to the D-day, it was my matric, the time was set for 8:30am but my house is far from the school grounds so I couldn't meet up, also added up to the fact the there where a small amount of buses going that route. People pushing each other just to get on a bus and also the bus driver taking advantage of the situation and hiking up the prices for the ride. Even with all this chaos I still found a bus and I got in with out the pushing and fighting— is God not Good.
When I got there, there was a multitude of people, even as the whole event was impromptu people still came out. Since I got there late I didn't see the procession but I witnessed the opening prayers, the welcoming of each faculty, the oath, the vice chancellor remarks, and the closing prayers. After the official event, we were left on our own to enjoy our day. I took pictures, after lending matric gowns from colleagues. My coursemates suggested we go back to our faculty take group pictures, I couldn't because I had to meet up with my brother and my other relative that was also matriculating too. We took some pictures, my cousin led us to his church stand where they served us food.

I'm always laughing like a goat around this big head

💗💗
If you think getting to the venue was difficult and chaotic, going home was definitely harder. Everywhere was chocked up, vehicle scarce and overpriced, we even have to walk down to the school gate— and it was a long walk. Even at the gate, the issue was still the same but I give a big fat thank yous to my brothers that ordered a ride to go home. It made the entire ride stress free, I couldn't even imagine trying to drag a bus when I was already tired. When I got home my sister and I made coconut rice with fried chicken for everyone, as a celebration and that signaled the end of my matric celebrations.

✨✨

I had so much fun

Matriculated ✨🤏🏽🤏🏽
I was tired, so sleep was not so far. I had a fun time that day and I'm very happy that the people in my life made it a very special day for me. I know even after this is a very daunting task ahead of me. I have to make sure everyone, especially me, is proud of me at the end of my four-year stay In this school but it won't hurt to have fun and actually enjoy being part of the school community one in a while.
It's Still Abeegail ✨💗
Trying to maintain academic excellence and also have fun 😊
