Have you ever felt like we’re not good enough, just because our life isn’t perfect, or you haven’t achieved all the things you dreamed of yet?
I’ve been there too. Many times.
But lately, I've made a conscious decision to prioritize progress over perfection. I've also been viewing myself and my journey with kinder, softer eyes ever since I made that change.
I came to see that we don't need to be flawless or know everything at once. The most important thing is that we remain true to our beliefs, are consistent, and continue to show up. That is more than sufficient.
I feel like I'm still a long way from where I want to be on some days.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm falling behind or if I'm doing enough. However, every time I take a moment to reflect, I realize how far I've already come—from my former self to my current self.
And I will always be grateful for that.
We often focus too much on what’s missing. I dwell on what we haven’t done yet, I sometimes think about what we haven't done yet and what we believe I am not doing well.. I forget to acknowledge all the small steps les me to this point. Those little efforts add up. They’re part of my growth.
For the longest time, I believed that I had to be perfect to be enough. I thought I had to meet everyone’s expectations to be accepted. But chasing perfection only left me tired, anxious, and disconnected from myself.
Then I discovered that there is no such thing as perfection. The process, the obstacles, the slow days, and the baby steps are what matter. The real beauty of life is revealed there.
I created room for possibilities when I let go of perfection. I gave myself permission to experiment, fail, and grow. I became more in the moment. Even when things felt chaotic or unclear, I began to embrace who I truly am.
I want you to take a moment to breathe if you're reading this and you're feeling lost, stuck, or unworthy.
You don't have to be flawless. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
Nobody knows everything. One small step at a time, we're all just trying, growing, and learning. No matter how small it may seem, what we're doing today is a part of something larger. Our progress is valid. Our path is beautiful.
We doing better than we realize.
So, I'd like to invite you to change your perspective with me. Let's quit trying to be perfect. Even though we still have a long way to go, let's be grateful for the progress we've made. Let's continue to move forward with faith and grace.
Because we don't have to hurry in the end. All we have to do is continue, at our own speed and in our own time.
Make progress rather than strive for perfection. Always.
