I replied to someone's threads playfully expecting him to also flow along but he got angry.

That's the tricky side of social media or internet communications. It's hard to read emotions, and sometimes we trigger people the wrong way. You did the bigger thing by apologising, but you're right, you shouldn't be bullied into apologising to people because you've upset their fragile egos. Best to avoid the person, as you did:)

You're right, we need to be extra careful where communicating with people on the internet so we don't say or do things that might hurt them. And yes I just needed to apologize for my wrongs.
For the egoistic man, I was happy to have thought him a little lesson he doesn't know.
