Tanak on the brink of win with Hyundai after Saturday at WRC Acropolis Rally Greece 2025

in Rally2 days ago

Hi, friends!

Hyundai is finally back in the game with potential win after first half of the season without their drivers on the top of the podium. But now there is Ott Tanak with their Hyundai i20 Rally1 machinery in the lead ahead of final four special stages of the rally and the lead is 43.6s over Toyota's finest Seb Ogier who is always fighting until the last meter of the rally.

Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) was in the fight with Tanak but later destroyed the rear suspension on the big rock and lost around two minutes and let the 2nd place to Seb Ogier.

Championship leader Elfyn Evans (Toyota) holds nice 4th place for the road sweeper and we know how hard is to open the road on gravel rallies because all the later runners have much cleaner road without lose stones.

Current World Rally champion Thierry Neuville is in 5th place and he is further away of another possible championship crown, no doubt about that.

M-Sport Ford's Gregoire Munster was 6th after Saturday but had to retire because of the technical problem during the last service of the day.

Sunday has four special stages with Tarzan as very complicated and cruel stage to survive. Let the best win - as always...
