French national rally championship are probably the best national series of that kind in the world because French drivers won 17 World Rally Championship crowns from 2024 onwards and that's not an easy thing to achive.
New talents are coming but because they have manufacturers who support the sport - Citroen, Renault, Peugeot, Alpine, it is easier for their drivers to progress through the sport.
Stephane Lefebvre was Junior World Rally champion back in a days and Citroen works driver. I see that he drove Toyota Yaris Rally2 machinery at this event, which is also first round of their Championship. I also see that he will do complete European Rally Championship bit with Hyundai i20 Rally2 car and MRF Tires.
Anyway, he showed the class at Rallye du Touquet and won in front of multiple French champion Yoan Bonato (Citroen) and ex-works M-Sport Ford driver Eric Camilli (Hyundai).
