It seems that Ford Puma Rally1 car is not that bad in the hands of super brave guys and it seems also that Latvian Martinš Sesks knows how to pull the maximum of that car on an events he knows very well, or on the completely new for everyone where no one has experience and knowledge of the special stages.
So yeah, he is leading the rally on penultimate day of event and it would be big surprise if he will stay in the lead at the finish because current World Rally champion Thierrry Neuville (Hyundai) is just 3.4s behind and he will go for everything tomorrow after terrible season without win.
The thing is that Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux had to have a lead today but his co-driver probably made a mistake and the checked-in into the time control a minute earlier and that's why they got one minute penalty. They are now in 4th place overall. This was a terrible mistake but things like this can happen.
Japanese driver Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) is currently 3rd overall and it would be good for him to keep that 3rd place and that way to boost his confidence for 2026.
Tomorrow will be a day decider for the new WRC champion and we still have three potential names which can be crowned tomorrow - Elfyn Evans, Seb Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera. Rovanpera can be a champ only if these two guys retire tomorrow and he finishes with at least 25 points in his pocket. Everything is possible in motorsport and it will be a big battle between Evans and Ogier tomorrow for the 2025 crown.
Let the best win - as always...
