Did you know that Saudi Arabia Rally will have a candidate event and an official one all in one year? Yes, that's true. They had a candidate event in first half of this season and the last event of World Rally Championship will be their. They signed a 10 year contract with the FIA and promoter about having an event in their country. And if you know that it costs approx 2m euro per year, then you know that this is not that expensive for them because they are an oil country and don't have wealth issues.
What about Latvian Martinš Sesks?
Well, he didn't have a season from dreams after a great start last year on events where he knows the special stages from the past. It is not easy to drive the car on events you don't know against competitors who know the special stages from before.
That's why he will drive WRC Saudi Arabia where no one from the elite drivers were for a drive and where all the drivers will have the same opportunity to shine bright in front of an audience.
