Ogier leads WRC Rally Portugal 2025 after day two

in Rally2 days ago

Hi, friends!

What a blow again for the team of Hyundai. Their Ott Tanak was going strong whole day until power steering issue and after that he was just losing time and he is now in 3rd place overall with 36.1s behind a leader Seb Ogier (Toyota).

Ogier is super strong driver mentally and his position at the time table just shows why he is eight-time World Rally champion. He holds lead over his team mate Kalle Rovanpera and the gap between them is 27.6s. Easy for Ogier to into the Sunday.

There was a big battle whole day today between current WRC champion Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) and Neuville holds 4th place with gap of only 2.2s over Katsuta. We can expect more of the same tomorrow. Great stuff.

Two Toyota guys - Sami Pajari and current Championship leader are kinda off the battle this rally, just to finish as high as possible. I guess that Evans will go flat out tomorrow for Super Sunday points after tough event for him.

There is six special stages tomorrow. Let the best win - as always...
