My thoughts about this event of the European Rally Championship were really positice because this event is very interesting because of super fast special stages. But I didn't expect that locals will take honors in front of internationaly more known opposition.
It is obvious now that if FIA decides that Rally2 class would be a premium class in World Rally Championship series, that the locals would finish usually in top 10 without problems.
Yeah, two home boys finished highest with Linnamae winnina and Robert Virves finising 2nd overall. These two had a strong fight between themselves and in the end the difference between them was just 2.2s.
Two Citroen works drivers - Nikolay Gryazin and Mads Ostberg finished 3rd and 4th with Hyundai's Hayden Paddon finished 5th overall. Jon Armstrong improved his performance with M-Sport prepared Ford Fiesta Rally2 and finished 6th overall.
Next round of ERC is tarmac round called Roma di Capitale in Italy at rhe end of July...
