From the first video shots special stages of WRC Rally Paraguay really looks interesting and I think this is very good promotion for their country. I must admit, as a fan of this sport, that I started to think about this country as a place for potential visit in the future.
Surface is red gravel, but very hard in places with mud in other. It will be interesting to see how it will looks like after the top cars pass through it because I saw how destroyed roads can be.
Toyota's Takamoto Katsuta posted a fastest time through the shakedown but differences are really small. Ott Tanak was 2nd for Hyundai and winner from latest WRC event in Finland, Kalle Rovanpera was 3rd fastest.
Current WRC champion Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was 4th fastest and after him, there were three Toyota crews - current Championship leader Elfyn Evans, eight-time WRC champion Seb Ogier and Sami Pajari.
Last two crews in the top ten were guys from M-Sport Ford - Josh McErlean and Gregoire Munster. Shakedown means nothing overall. Really action starts tomorrow on the special stages.
