Today was a tough day for road openers who's duties were also to clean the roads for rest of the crews. And in Saudi Arabia it wasn't easy at all. Championship leader Elfyn Evans finished day at 8th place while his biggest rival for the title, Seb Ogier (both Toyota) finished first full day of competition im 6th place, some 40s ahead of Evans. Just to remind you that these two guys are separated by only three points.
Third driver with chance of title, Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota), finished day in 7th place. It will be tough battle between them for every point until the end of rally.
Guys down the Championship table were in favor today because of a cleaner road conditions. Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux leads the rally with small margin in front of Toyota's Sami Pajari (6s). M-Sport Ford's finest Martinš Sesks is in 3rd place overall at the moment and that proves that Ford Puma Rally1 car can still produce performances (when the road is clean).
Champion from 2019, Ott Tanak (Hyundai) is 4th while current champ Thierry Neuville holds 5th place overall. Rally is still young and anything can happen until the end which will be on Saturday (not on Sunday like any other WRC event).
Let the best win - as always...
