Tarmac rallying is specific because there is no such thing as pure tarmac because drivers are cutting corners and bring dirt onto the road. That's why every single corner could be your last if you come there too quick or not in the line.

In World Rally Championship (and probably European Rally Championship) there is something called route note crew where driver and co-driver have route note crew which enters special stages a few hours before the start of it and put additional notes about dirt (in corners on tarmac), dump wet parts etc...

In this video we have Teemu Suninen as a route note driver (with his co-driver) who explains everything he has to do for Hayden Paddon during WRC Rally Japan 2026.
