Located in a traditional mansion on a street of the main park, this museum is much more than a place to observe antique objects; it is a living space that invites you to connect with the past while enjoying the present.
I decided to have lunch there, and it was a pleasant surprise. The menu offered typical dishes of the region, prepared with that homemade flavor that can only be found in the villages. I ordered a rib and trout broth with patacones and was delighted; everything was delicious, well served and with that touch of seasoning reminiscent of grandmother's meals. The atmosphere was warm, accompanied by soft music that invited to relax, talk and enjoy without anxiety.
After lunch, I toured the museum and was surprised by the amount of antique objects kept there. It was like taking a trip back in time. I was able to interact with some pieces, such as the first digital cameras, which although rudimentary today, at the time were a technological revolution. I also found the first cell phones, those big, heavy and with antenna, which now look like something out of a movie.
One of the objects that touched me the most was a corn pestle, very similar to the one my mother used when we made mazamorra at home and obviously I helped her.
The museum is very well kept, with decorative details that enhance the beauty of the place. There are showcases with objects organized by eras, black and white photographs that tell the history of the town and spaces where it is easy to stop and reflect or simply admire.
Visiting this museum was an enriching and emotional experience. Not only did I learn about Sonsón's past, but I also rediscovered personal memories, while enjoying an exquisite meal in a cozy atmosphere. Undoubtedly, a place worth visiting.

Hoy les vengo a contar de mi visita a Sonsón, Antioquia, uno de los momentos más especiales fue descubrir el museo el Tesoro, encantador porque combina la historia con la buena comida. Ubicado en una casona tradicional y en una calle del parque principal, este museo es mucho más que un lugar para observar objetos antiguos; es un espacio vivo que invita a conectarse con el pasado mientras se disfruta del presente.
Decidí almorzar allí mismo, y fue una grata sorpresa. El menú ofrecía platos típicos de la región, preparados con ese sabor casero que solo se encuentra en los pueblos. Pedí un caldo de costilla y trucha con patacones y quedé encantado; todo estaba delicioso, bien servido y con ese toque de sazón que recuerda a las comidas de la abuela. El ambiente era cálido, acompañado por una música suave que invitaba a relajarse, conversar y disfrutar sin afán.
Después del almuerzo, recorrí el museo y me sorprendí con la cantidad de objetos antiguos que allí se conservan. Fue como hacer un viaje en el tiempo. Pude interactuar con algunas piezas, como las primeras cámaras digitales, que aunque rudimentarias hoy en día, en su momento fueron toda una revolución tecnológica. También encontré los primeros celulares, de esos grandes, pesados y con antena, que ahora parecen sacados de una película.
Uno de los objetos que más me emocionó fue un pilón de maíz, muy similar al que usaba mi mamá cuando hacíamos la mazamorra en casa y obviamente le ayudaba.
El museo está muy bien cuidado, con detalles decorativos que realzan la belleza del lugar. Hay vitrinas con objetos organizados por épocas, fotografías en blanco y negro que cuentan la historia del pueblo y espacios donde es fácil detenerse a reflexionar o simplemente admirar.
Visitar este museo fue una experiencia enriquecedora y emotiva. No solo aprendí sobre el pasado de Sonsón, sino que también me reencontré con recuerdos personales, mientras disfrutaba de una comida exquisita en un ambiente acogedor. Sin duda, un lugar que vale la pena conocer.
