Hello How are you? today I'm going to share some arrangements I was doing recently in my house, and that arose as a result of a problem I had with the air conditioner in my room. It turns out that from one moment to another began to fail, it turned off and I heard a strange noise, so without thinking twice I called a friend of mine who is also the technician who installed the air conditioner. At that time he thought it might be an electrical problem, so we started to check the bracket box confirming a suspicion I had. What happens is that some time ago, while I was trying to fix something simple I turned down the breakers (as I have always been afraid of electricity) but I still got a touch of electricity. I didn't understand how it could happen so I told my brother about it and he thought maybe it was due to my nerves.
Hola ¿Cómo están? hoy les voy a compartir algunos arreglos que estuve haciendo recientemente en mi casa, y que surgieron a raíz de un problema que tuve con el aire acondicionado de mi habitación. Resulta que de un momento a otro empezó a fallar, se apagaba y yo escuchaba un ruido raro, así que sin pensarlo dos veces llamé a un amigo mío que además es el técnico que instaló el aire acondicionado. En ese momento él pensaba que podría ser un problema eléctrico, así que nos pusimos a revisar la caja de brackets confirmando una sospecha que yo tenía. Lo que sucede es que hace tiempo, mientras yo intentaba arreglar algo sencillo bajé los interruptores (ya que siempre le he tenido miedo a la electricidad) pero aún así me dio un toque de electricidad. No entendía como podía pasar así que se lo comenté a mi hermano y él pensaba que tal vez se debía a mis nervios.
So my friend the technician started to check using an electrical tester and realized that there was indeed electrical current, even after lowering the switches, and this was because, according to him the current was reversed, that is, the positive in the negative and vice versa. so he started to sort everything out and put it in its place. And this has been a problem for years, since we moved in over 30 years ago. I'm not sure but maybe and this was the cause that many electrical appliances had been damaged in my room.
Así que mi amigo el técnico comenzó a revisar usando un tester eléctrico y se dio cuenta de que efectivamente había corriente eléctrica, aún después de bajar los interruptores, y esto se debía a que, según él la corriente estaba invertida, es decir, el positivo en el negativo y viceversa. así que comenzó a ordenar todo y a ponerlo en su lugar. Y esto es un problema de años, desde que nos mudamos hace más de 30 años. No estoy seguro pero tal vez y esto haya sido la causa de que muchos artefactos eléctricos se hubiesen dañado en mi habitación.
We discovered that the voltage protector had been damaged (probably due to so many power outages) but fortunately it did its job because the air conditioner was fine. To keep it working well I bought a new voltage protector and my friend installed it but when we were testing it I heard a metallic sound again and the air conditioner turned off. Then my friend realized something, the problem was not the air conditioning as such.
Descubrimos que el protector de voltaje se había dañado (Probablemente ante tantos bajones de electricidad) pero afortunadamente cumplió su función porque el aire acondicionado estaba bien. Para que continuara trabajando bien compré un protector de voltaje nuevo y mi amigo lo instaló pero cuando lo estábamos probando volví a escuchar un sonido metálico y el aire acondicionado se apagó. Entonces mi amigo se dio cuenta de algo, el problema no era el aire acondicionado como tal.
The problem was this bracket, the metallic noise that I heard was that it triggered itself and turned off the air conditioner. My friend checked it and confirmed the problem, he told me that we could do maintenance, but because that device has many years I decided that it was better to buy a new one.
El problema era este bracket, el ruido metálico que yo escuchaba era que se disparaba solo y apagaba el aire acondicionado. Mi amigo lo revisó y confirmó el problema, él me dijo que podríamos hacerle mantenimiento, pero debido a que ese aparato tiene muchos años yo decidí que era mejor comprar uno nuevo.
So I bought it, I also bought an outlet to replace the old one and my friend helped me to install it, so finally with the new bracket, the new voltage regulator, the outlet and the maintenance we did to the bracket board of the house everything works as it should be, thank God. It is important to be aware of these changes, do the proper maintenance and protect our electrical appliances, especially in places like my country, Venezuela, where there are so many blackouts due to power rationing, although it is not really the blackouts that damage the appliances, but the power outages, it is that momentary instability that is dangerous.
Así que lo compré, compré también un toma corriente para reemplazar el anterior y mi amigo me ayudó a instalarlo, así que finalmente con los nuevos bracket, el nuevo regulador de voltaje, el tomacorrientes y el mantenimiento que le hicimos al tablero de brackets de la casa todo funciona como debería ser, gracias a Dios. Es importante estar atentos a estos cambios, hacer el debido mantenimiento y proteger nuestros artefactos eléctricos, sobre todo en los lugares como mi país, Venezuela, donde hay tantos apagones debido a los racionamientos eléctricos, aunque realmente no son los apagones los que dañan los aparatos, sino los bajones de corriente eléctrica, es esa inestabilidad momentánea la que es peligrosa.
