Doing even minor repairs at home requires an investment. In the case of the shower, I would save the money if the thing lasts me a year and I would buy the filter faster. That's thinking about my economy and my economic capacity.
A year is a decent average time, and I think the filter is more necessary now because of your allergy.
Just don't go forgetting for many more years the shower hidden unrepaired haha.

Hacer reparaciones en casa así sean mínimas requiere una inversión. En el caso de la ducha, yo me ahorraría el dinero si la cosa me dura un año y así compraría el filtro más rápido. Eso pensando en mi economía y mi capacidad económica.
Un año es un promedio decente de tiempo, y creo que el filtro es más necesario ahora por lo de tu alergia.
Solo no vayas a olvidar por muchos años más la ducha escondida sin reparar jaja.
