When I stay with my sister in Lipa, the public market is really just close to her apartment. We often just walk from her apartment to the market. We only take the jeep going back because I always run out of breath and am always tired from the walk, back then the fare for the jeep is just 8 pesos. And yes, that's how weak I was then, well, even now. Lol. And whenever my sister left me alone in the apartment, she would ask me to go to the market to buy things such as ingredients for dinner, rice, or just something.
But with all that request, I never do even one of what she asked me to buy because I am afraid to go alone in the market. I've been living there for months, and I always accompany her every morning to the market. She even taught me to use the shortcut, which we often use too, back then. But because I am afraid and I am really stupid when it comes to directions, I never go alone to where the market is. I should've taken that time to explore the place, but aigooo, my fears and stupidity got in the way. Lol.
And during my visit in Lipa again, good thing my little brother's place has a store that sells fish and meats. They also have vegetables and fruits. But of course, the price here is much more expensive compared to the market. But the thing is, my brother still had to accompany us going there because we asked him to. Lol. I mean, why go alone if going there with two other families is more fun? Lol. It's a good time too to have a nice walk, lol. But kidding aside, it's scary to cross roads here. I need someone I can hold on to if I have to cross the roads. Lol
Anyways, this is actually just one of the stores nearby that my brother visits. He also has one on the opposite side, which doesn't require crossing the main road. But they don't have fish and meats like this one. They have vegetables, fruits, and the basic necessities, but if my brother craved fish or meats, he would visit this store. The only thing is, expect that their fish here is not that fresh compared to the one you can buy in the main market. Look at that big ice, just to maintain its freshness, but I think that too is not enough.
On the other hand, their veggies and fruits look really good. And this one doesn't really need to be fresh, right? They may rot, but for sure before it happens, all of this is already sold, if ever. Anyways, we actually just bought chicken meat here. Although we like fish it's still a bit scary to buy fish that is frozen like this. And we can't even tell how long the fish have been in there already. Like, what if we experience a stomach ache or allergy because of it? OMG. As for the meat, it was placed in the freezer, so I guess it's much safer to have it ƪ(‾.‾“)┐?
Anyways, as I see it, my brother is close to the owner here, just from the way they talk. He even received a Christmas gift, a cute towel, lol. The owner handed it after picking all the ingredients we needed. After that we left the store to go back home.
It's really just a short walk, it doesn't even take 10 minutes. But yeah, still, going in there with us three is so much more fun than going there alone. Lol. I already miss Lipa, I wish I could go back in there again and have these kinds of cute bonding moments. Lol.
