Three of our family members got into a motorcycle accident. My brother Tan and our two cousins.
It was a sunny afternoon when I received their text stating about it.
After reading it, I felt like I had been punched in the gut, leaving me breathless.
My mind started racing with worst-case scenarios. I felt a wave of fear for my brother's and cousin's safety and their well-being.
I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself down, but my hands were shaking, and my heart was racing.
And then, suddenly, I felt a surge of adrenaline. I knew I had to act, to do something, anything, to help them. Especially since I'm the only guardian who can help them now.
I quickly told it to my hubby, and we immediately went to the place where the accident happened.
As we went there, the bystanders who saw the accident told us that my brother and cousins had already been brought to the hospital.
So we immediately went there and prepared myself to face whatever lay ahead.
As I stepped into the hospital room, I already saw my brother sitting with a wound on his face.
My eyes were fixed on my brother's face, and I couldn't look away.
My two cousins, on the other hand, got a cut on his head, and the other one had some bruises on his knees.
As I asked them what happened, they told me that they were going to watch the newly released movie in the cinema "Eraserheads: Combo On The Run".
The ride started smoothly. Until one motorcycle crosses their line, and so the accident happens.
As we went to the police station, we saw my brother's Yamaha Mio in a salvaged situation.
The front got damaged, his shield daylight part got cracks and scratches, and his front fenders broke from an impact.
The other motorcycle that caused the accident was also there.
As you can see, the tires got deflated and damaged. Showing how strong the impact of the collision is.
Good thing, the accident was minor, and with some bandages and emotional support, the three were soon smiling again, thankful for their safety.
They also learned an invaluable lesson about the importance of safety and being vigilant on the road.
And now, they're in the healing process.
I hope this story teaches us to always be grateful for the gift of life and appreciate the importance of having a family. 💗
Until our next family story... Buh-bye. 👋🌷
