I come through this beautiful community to share with you, the outing I had with my friend Ale, we had more than two months without seeing each other, although we live relatively close, it was always complicated when we squared up to see each other, but this time everything was perfect.
Dicen que las cosas no planificadas, muchas veces salen mucho mejor. El día de ayer, nos quedamos en ver, ella iba a vender unos libros a un señor de una librería cerca de Sabana Grande, Caracas. Y yo le dije, que la iba a acompañar y así aprovechábamos y charlábamos un rato. También ella quiso ir a comprarse unos tacones, para aprovechar que estaba en Caracas, porque su hijo próximamente se gradúa, y tenía que completar el outfits.
They say that unplanned things often turn out much better. Yesterday, we met yesterday, she was going to sell some books to a man in a bookstore near Sabana Grande, Caracas. And I told her that I was going to accompany her so we could take advantage of the opportunity and chat for a while. She also wanted to go and buy some heels, to take advantage of the fact that she was in Caracas, because her son was graduating soon, and she had to complete his outfits.
Después de tanto caminar, caminar, se logró el objetivo, se compró unos tacones muy lindos, y por supuesto ya estábamos muertas del hambre jaja. Queríamos comprar una pizza, pero nos quedaba un poco lejos de donde estábamos. Así que, nos fuimos a la vieja confiable, nos dirigimos a Snack Príncipe, en Sabana Grande. Ya he comido ahí en varias oportunidades y es un 10/10. Los precios son accesibles y las hamburguesas y pollos son divinas.
After so much walking, walking, the goal was achieved, we bought some very nice heels, and of course we were already starving haha. We wanted to get a pizza, but it was a bit far from where we were. So, we went to the old reliable, we headed to Snack Principe, in Sabana Grande. I've eaten there several times before and it's a 10/10. The prices are affordable and the burgers and chicken are divine.
Nos pedimos una promo box (así le dicen) incluye una hamburguesa de pollo, papitas fritas y un refresco. Me pareció súper bien, a pesar de comernos una hamburguesa, quedamos muy bien, pero no queríamos irnos sin comernos un heladito jaja, necesitábamos un postre para cerrar con broche de oro.
We ordered a promo box (that's what they call it) which included a chicken burger, fries and a soft drink. I thought it was great, even though we had a hamburger, we were very happy, but we didn't want to leave without having an ice cream haha, we needed a dessert to close with a flourish.
Y fuimos a la Poma, una heladería que tiene años ahí y es muy popular, cuenta con un amplio menú de sabores, y venden tortas, postres, es decir, el paraíso para todo dulcero. Lo que más me gusta es que mantienen la calidad de sus productos, los helados son producidos por ellos mismos y la verdad que, es una buena opción para ir y darse un gusto.
And we went to La Poma, an ice cream parlor that has been there for years and is very popular, has a wide menu of flavors, and sells cakes, desserts, that is, paradise for every sweet tooth. What I like most is that they maintain the quality of their products, the ice creams are produced by themselves and the truth is that it is a good option to go and treat yourself.
Nosotras nos sentamos un rato en la heladería a comernos la barquilla, yo la pedí de chocolate, y mi amiga de pistacho. No podíamos seguir caminado porque el sol estaba inclemente y el helado en cuestión de segundo se nos iba a derretir. Nos encantó, y al final no podíamos con el último pedazo de barquilla, eran grandes, pero muy sabrosas.
We sat for a while in the ice cream parlor to eat our ice cream, I asked for chocolate, and my friend asked for pistachio. We couldn't keep walking because the sun was blazing and the ice cream was going to melt in a matter of seconds. We loved it, and in the end we couldn't eat the last piece of the ice cream, they were big, but very tasty.
En conclusión, un día agradable, mi amiga realizó sus diligencias, y pasamos también una tarde amena. Nos pusimos al día con todo lo que teníamos pendiente por contarnos, y salimos de la misma rutina. Es bueno siempre dedicarse un tiempo, así sea una tarde para fomentar ese tiempo de calidad con nuestros seres queridos, nuestros amigos, o pareja. Que la rutina y la monotonía no nos consuma de tal manera que nos olvidemos de lo agradable que es sentarse a conversar un rato y despejar la mente.
All in all, a pleasant day, my friend ran her errands, and we had a nice afternoon as well. We caught up with everything we had pending to tell each other, and we got out of the same routine. It is always good to dedicate some time, even if it is just an afternoon, to foster that quality time with our loved ones, our friends, or partner. Routine and monotony should not consume us in such a way that we forget how pleasant it is to sit and talk for a while and clear our minds.
