Today let me share a story about one of the most meaningful birthdays we ever celebrated as a family.
We are used to big, lively birthdays. Usually we invited neighbors, friends, relatives and even our wide circle of friends. The house is full. the food is plenty and the joy is loud. But this birthday was different, a beautifully unforgettable.
This time, Aya wished for something simple yet personal. Instead of spending a big amount on a celebration, she wanted to use the money to buy something special for herself, something she had been hoping to have, A cellphone, we supported her because birthdays should be about choosing what makes you happiest.
So, we gathered only as an immediate family. No stress, no pressure, no long guest list. Just the people who truly love her. And to our surprise, it became one of the warmest celebrations we’ve had. Sometimes, a quiet room filled with genuine laughter is far better than any big party.
And of course, we the aunt and uncle came in full force, bringing food, cake and anything we could add to the table. It makes everything feel extra fun.
That day taught me something valuable: “A birthday shines brightest when celebrated with the people who make you feel loved.”
