Hey there my dear hivers!Thanks for stopping by. In today's article, I will share to you my very simple but meaningful birthday celebration.
For me, birthdays don't always need an expensive cake, big venues and beautiful decorations to feel special. Sometimes, the simplest one matters the most.
It was an ordinary day, my morning started with greetings from my family, friends and fb friends and for those who remember my special day. It is a great feeling about waking up on your birthday knowing that your loved ones are just as excited as you are. My 1st daughter give me a warm hug and a kiss and greeted me a happy birthday. Something so comforting.
I didn't file a birthday leave. I still go to work at school, by the way I am a public school teacher. It was my class at 6:00 in the morning and as I walked into the classroom expecting just a regular day of lessons but the moment when I entered the room my advisory class/students greeted me while they sing and shouted a " Happy Birthday!" There was a written Happy Birthday on the blackboard and a simple balloon inside of the room. I was so happy for the effort that they put in. They gave me a gift, cake and a bouquet of flowers. How thoughtful they are. I feel the love behind this simple surprise.
Of course, after their surprise and took pictures, they still need to take their examination because that time is also their examination day. While having their exams, I look unto them teary eyed because I felt that they really appreciate me as their teacher. Thier thoughtfulness brought tears to my eyes.
After my class. My friends at work decided to invite me at our favorite place. They casually invite me to join them. When I walked in, I was met with warm smiles, cheerful greetings and unexpected sight of big boxes of pizza. We celebrated my birthday with genuine laughter, kind words and shared slices of pizza. I am so thankful for them because despite of our busy schedules that day they still planned a simple surprise just for me.Thank you guys for making my day worth special.
When I got home, I think it was almost 6:00 pm in the evening, I wasn;t expecting anything special too. But to my surorised, they greeted me with warm smiles and there are cooked food prepared at our table- all are my favorite foods. There is also a cake and drinks. I joyfully spent the entire night celebrating my birthday together with my whole family.
We spent the evening talking, laughing and enjoying the food and drinks together. I am so happy because we are complete at this moment.
This simple celebration of my 37th birthday reminded me how lucky I am because I was surrounded by love with my family and friends. It was a birthday blast. I feel so loved.
